DIY- do it yourself

house for a refugee
Our aim is to create a reusable, temporary structure that can be used in the execution of refugee camps. The structure can involve the creation of temporary houses or other facilities that are needed in a refugee camp. DIY (do it yourself) is our main aim.

DIY (do it yourself) is our main aim.

The first concept was born from the idea of creating a basic module that could build a city in its most basic functions.

Other temporary first aid equipment's for a rebuilding of a city can be thought with the easy association of modules.

Using a system of removable panels of electrowelded mesh, we create the main grid for the structure;to these panels we join in one of the sides metal gabions that are filled with reusable waste (pebble stones, plastic cans, plastic bottles) In between the gabions and the panels we introduce panels of Styrofoam that create thermal conditions. One wooden recycled sliding door encloses the house. The panel that establishes relation with the exterior is constructed in undulated polycarbonate plastic. The structure is covered by metal undulated panels.

It is believed that the standardization of the modules, the low cost of materials can create a quick building assembly and adapt to various forms of life.
