Art and Energy CIC is a collective of artists trying to find a way to use our skills to respond to the climate emergency. We approach our energy system through creativity, and we work to make beautiful things that also give us green energy acting as a celebration and an antidote to fear and anxiety about the future. We want to empower people to get involved in transforming our power systems and working together, we hope to use our energy for the good of the planet.

We would like to share our learning about how to build solar panel artworks

You know what a solar panel looks like right?

We've pioneered news ways of working with existing solar PV technology so that people can work with the tech like they are using craft materials.

People could create their own solar panel artworks in their sheds or at their kitchen tables.....Or designers could create beautiful, unique, solar PV installations for buildings to generate electricity AND celebrate those special places.

A greater awareness of the potential aesthetic versatility of solar PV would allow architects to imagine incorporating green energy into buildings in new ways.
