Build your city is a concept that prioritizes the inclusion of the community during the “making of” process. We believe that the process is equally, or even more important, than the result itself since it provides learning and bonding of the community. Participation gives the people the opportunity to use their skills in the best way possible while also creating networks and professional collaborations. Using local resources with 0 transportation costs and involving local professionals (carpenters) is a key element of the projects which drives local economy and develops the city.

Urban modular is a project that includes series of interventions in public space that use wood as a construction material and already existing concrete base defining its sustainable character. UM wants to create a seating place for 1 person in the public space. The design is inspired by the free setting of furniture on the street by the locals with the goal of creating a comfortable public ambient.
