MArch Architect by Unversidad of Alcalá, Spain, where she obtained her Master`s Degree with the project `The Breeders´ an investigation about comunal living and utopic communities. She had studied at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology as a research student in 2016 and have worked in architecture offices in London and Madrid as an architect. She has also founded ACT Architects and she is collaborating with Momentum Magazine.

New emerging practices
The project explore the possibility of the appearance of new family spheres that nowadays are uncommon.

Institutions have to deal with new society matters so laws have to be updated in order to let society keep evolving. The traditional nuclear family model, comprising a father, mother and children, have completely changed during the last few years.

XXI century citizen have changed and so laws have to. The Breeders Project raises new questions, Is society ready for this new approaches? Are we prepared for this new maternity methods? Could surrogacy be the answer for those eager to create their own family?

In Spain surrogacy is not legal at the moment. Some parties have started drafting new law proposals that will probably in the future permit this practice to be legal. The Breeders Project is set in a near future where surrogacy become a reality. Architecture and design enable this to come true with unique private spaces where this future mother will live during the gestation period.
