New York City Water Farm
Mankind is inextricably bound to the water. New York City Water Farm is a conceptual systems design project. The water enviroments provide ideal locations for the production of food and energy. Aquaculture successes already prove the potential for farming the seas, lakes and rivers. The research is about the possibility to terraforming the east river in New York City. The first move will be to expand the Manahattan's grid in to the river, and then developing autonomous floating islands, that generating its own power by exploiting the flowing river water (underwater turbine), this proposal is for a small intersticial community that sharing resources and environment.
