The Danube as a leisure producer

The Danube as a leisure producer
MIZU? Is part of the research process about the leisure in our cities through practical cases.

Are our cities leisure producers? Is our leisure sustainable? What is leisure? How is the relationship between leisure and our heritage? These are some of the issues addressed in the prototypes developed in "MIZU?". "MIZU?" It is a well-known Hungarian expression to be colloquially interested in someone, after a while without seeing each other. We could translate it as < What's new? >. In our case, it will name the proposal to reintegrate leisure on the Danube riverbed in Budapest. Both citizens and the many tourists who visit the city each year can enjoy it. The starting point is the idea of reactivating leisure and complementing the city's entertainment offer, recovering the concept of an old floating pools present in the river until World War II. For this, the reconversion of some characteristic barges, generally used for the transport of goods along the Danube is proposed, offering various activities, but also helping to strengthen the most critical of cities.

Rosalia on the Danube? What if the new stage of the famous Sziget music festival were on board?
Could we enjoy a movie on a summer afternoon on the banks of the Danube?

Budapest is known as the capital of porn for its many shootings, could we have a space for reflection, debate and vindication of women's sexuality and feminism in the pornographic industry in a visible space such as the river at its pass through the city?
Taste a kurtoskalacs accompanied by hot wine at a Christmas market on the frozen waters of the Danube?

What better scenery for a fashion show for the BFW than the city itself from its river?
Sun, beach and beach bar, a little oasis on the Danube?

A floating beach to cool off in the hot Hungarian summer months
