TOWARDS A NONVIOLENT DESIGN

A MANIFESTO OF POSTDISCIPLINARY THINKING

TOWARDS A NONVIOLENT DESIGN

A MANIFESTO OF POSTDISCIPLINARY THINKING
We identify the urgency to unravel what lies at the core of disciplinary thinking. We refuse to be disciplined.

Type of project
  • New alliances

We challenge knowledge and its production.
We identify the patriarchy in all its complexity and layers as an oppression and destruction of the true breath of cyclical lives. We need to overcome its oppressive norms by embracing the Feminine (does not necessarily equate to women) as a collective whole to open the possibilities to new ideas, new mythologies, that again will need to be deconstructed in the future. These possibilities are innumerable portals now buried under centuries of constructed taboos, guilt and fears. These portals present a limitless variety of ways in which we can cross them.
We declare the portals open.
The book “Towards a nonviolent design, A manifesto for postdisciplinary thinking” explores what lies at the core of disciplinary thinking. We propose an approach to design based on the expression of nonviolence, ephemerality, epistemological awareness and the power of Kindness, towards the self, the body, the collective, the environment, the Universe.

Mockup 1/3, Chapter 3 : PORTALS

Mockup 2/3, Chapter 5 : STORIES OF SPACE/S

Mockup 3/3, Chapter 7 : COLONIAL AND POSTCOLONIAL VIOLENCE(S)

WIP - Spatial representation of the disjointing of knowledge associated with disciplinary thinking and the construction fo strict boundaries.

"Individual entities then merge together without blending into each other. Boundaries are re-thought, are deconstructed to create a newly unified but heterogenous field and new poles of knowledges.

We refuse to be disciplined.”
