Our modular structures operate as interactive spots fostering shared immersive and interactive experiences for children. The entire system, using an open-source research programme (Paris Univ., INSERM), works by stimulating children’s empathy as they discover different interactions with characters (some are invisible to the eye), through sounds, tactile elements and bond with children who share the same experience. The modules are inspired by the Nordic lakes environment echoing care and well-being culture and are made to be used in public spaces receiving children (libraries, creative rooms) but also in a learning environment, to be used as alternative educational tools by teachers alongside pedagogical programmes. By fostering strategies and common grounds for an empathic way of living in a changing environment, these modules shift our understanding of physical spaces of learning from static to interactive/responsive, opening innovative views for interior design and architecture.
