OUT+HABIT

- Site-specific cases
We trust that a new dialogue with the most knowledgable users of the public space of our cities - homeless people - can open possibilities to understanding how the city as a whole functions. This is even more pressing as the housing crisis fueled by the recent pandemic will push more and more people into the street. There, they are usually met with restrictive laws and prejudice, and the only way we as architects and activists can make a difference is by understanding what life on the street actually means.

Vaclav lives under a bridge in Prague and in his interview, he speaks of his life on the street.

Roman lives close to the Main Train Station. He explains the intricate ecosystem of this space in his video interview.

Ivana lived on the street for over 30 years and in her interview speaks about the difficulties of being a woman on the street as well as her life's journey.
