Analyzing the urban ecosystem of Solidarity Economy in Athens traces alliances, explores collective practices and creates visibility.

The search for experiments to challenge profit-oriented economic logics begins in urban niches, in which practices of Solidarity Economy, centered around the needs of humans and non-humans, are cultivated.
The programmatic opening of these spaces enables the urban society to participate in collective practices of do-it-yourself, swapping, recycling, collecting, giving, voluntary working, mutual learning and more. The spheres of economy, work, leisure, politics, education and the common good are interwoven in hybrid interconnected spaces: cultural centers, fair shops, makerspaces, cooperative cafés, social kitchens and many more. Analyzing the urban ecosystem of Solidarity Economy in Athens traces alliances, explores collective practices and creates visibility.
