HyperGarden is aimed at making the urban environment resilient and climate adaptive. We do this on the basis of healthy soil life from composted organic waste so that nutritious herbs, fruit, vegetables and fungi can grow. It is also a testing ground for radical concepts around regenerative architecture, urban circular horticulture and strategic nutrient supply.

The main vision that HyperGarden is realizing is to utilise unused and fragmented urban space by engaging and activating with citizens how are ready to take action and develop and maintain their own urban edible landscape. Thereby greening the city, crating community, harnessing otherwise wasted materials and and improving the quality of the human condition.

The design approach takes a long term / multi year view and uses a dynamic and circular economic models to ensuring a productive and healthy garden with low input costs.

Regenerating urban the environment by utilizing waste streams.

Preparations are made to add the soil and plants.

Checking on the four meter high vertical garden columns.

Harvesting medicinal and culinary herbs (Origanum Onites).

The space has become an haven for humans, wildlife and pollinating insects.
