This project hopes to define the main features of the non-habitant, this new user of the metropolis, the result of a mix between a social media addict, massive tourism, a digital flaneur, a sharing economy proactive entrepreneur, among other main characteristics.
Marc Augé coined the concept of non-places, thereby generating a rethinking on the spaces and the way we inhabit them. Furthermore, with the opening of new hyperconnected markets, the flow is much bigger, it is not just people, if not data, transactions of physical money and virtual money (cryptocurrencies), thousands of people seated in cafes working for several cities around the globe, at the same time. Suddenly, that lonely person, abstracted with his headphones, become ubiquitous.
For the non-habitant the life goes through the smartphone, it is the one that knows you better, it is becoming that friend that hears you every time and answers all your uncertainties, and gives you the best advices, god bless the AI.
