- Systemic changes
The scenario of the green streets is an answer to climate change. In the future, we expect more extreme climate with higher temperatures during summer time and more need for electricity for our daily computer-assisted work. No car scenario gives back to people the space of the streets. It can be used to improve the quality of the air, social life and leisure by creating green areas of parks and activities as well as smaller lanes for devices such as bicycles and floating skateboards. In this futuristic scenario, the car is replaced by a capsule attaching to buildings, thus adding new living and working space. Bringing the water and green spaces on vertical, by creating artificial waterfalls and suspended gardens may recreate a natural biotope that the car city has destroyed. They will refresh the city during summer critical temperatures. The noise pollution will be also diminished and thus reducing external stress.

The image presents the concept of rehabilitation of standard apartment buildings with gardens and facades chosen by its inhabitants. In this way, everybody can identify its house and cultivate organic food.

The skyscrapers could also be an opportunity to bring the green spaces to higher levels, a vertical garden. It is an answer to an overcrowded city and also providing social contact.

Without cars, the bridges may become leisure gardens and shopping stores may be created in the supporting walls along the river.

Without the weight of cars, we could imagine different pavements that by their transparency could allow seeing the historic foundation of buildings. During the night, the glass pavements could be used as giant screens.

The capsule is a concept design of a device that is used for transportation and living. It attaches to buildings by a perfect vacuum. The device is composed of two different shells and accommodates inflating furniture in between. By rotating the interior shell we can have access to diverse pieces of furniture in function of our needs.
