Gothenburg City Triennial

Gothenburg, Sweden
Gothenburg City Triennial is a platform that prompts joint discussions and enables possibilities to work collectively to shape and create the city. The aim is to establish open forums concerning the city´s development and to involve the local community in Gothenburg in that development. The format started in 2015 and takes place every third year, with the conversation continuing in a smaller scale in between those years. The program includes discussions, presentations, screenings, exhibitions, practical construction, and workshops. Ideas from the public are integrated in the program through Open calls. Gothenburg City Triennial is driven by the city planning office in broad collaboration with, among others, Gothenburg City’s administrations, companies and institutions, academia, artists, non-profit organizations, and various associations.
