Everyone’s yard is an example of how by encouraging inhabitants and collaborating with local authorities you may, not only rebuild the space, but also change it into integrational space.
The project had began in 2015 when the artist appeared on the backyard with interactive 7-meter long hedgehog. She nocked peoples doors and followed peoples ideas and needs. They crowdfunded to take the local kids for holidays with the hedgehog in 2016. They got determined to rebuild the yard after that. In 2018 they got founding by winning the participatory budget competition and together with the artist redesigned the yard. The local authorities made it formal. Artist created the School of Knocking on Doors to involve interdisciplinary team to study by practice in consultations with inhabitants. There were several performative consultations apart on professional design was made. There are the locals on visuals instead of „bodies from data base”.
