Urban Talk 4 / Global-local Challenges in Architecture

BINA Belgrade International Architecture Week is organising Urban Talks as part of the 2020 European Architecture Programme.

The topic of this panel was dedicated to the burning issues of modern environment such as: climate change, ecology, decarbonisation and an active position of architects as professionals.

How do architects and individuals in architecture and related professions of the built environment take measures to deal with the double crisis, climate and ecological collapse?

A particular emphasis of the Talk was placed on the issue of personal initiative in solving certain problems and the ability of architects to act at the community level through individual projects, but also broader initiatives in terms of lobbying for changes within the existing legislation.
