- New alliances
Mies. TV is a global network of young people at the intersection of architecture and video. The documentaries focus on current themes which challenge the architecture profession and its environment. People of the architecture realm tell their stories on current issues, such as the question of beauty, housing or the architecture profession itself. At international screenings the collective tries to not only share those stories with other architects but especially with interested people that are not from the architecture field themselves. Stories of raising issues in architecture can be told in a new way through the media of video which enables complex content to be understood more easily.
The recent documentaries of Mies. TV are listed below, which can be shared and further developed within the Future Architecture Platform network.

Why Does Beauty Matter (EE, 2019)
The Tallinn Architecture Biennale (TAB 2019) has raised the issue of Beauty in architecture. A term, often ignored by todays architects, is the focus of the exhibition and symposium. The video features in-depth interviews with curator Yael Reisner, along participating architects Sou Fujimoto, KTA, March Studio, Space Popular, Fologram, as well as N. Luscombe (musician), Graham Harman (philosopher), Ron Aharoni (mathematician) and T. Enoch (neuroscientist)

Wie wir wohnen (AT, 2019)
"The way we live” is a social laboratory in which residents of Vienna have swapped their apartments with each other, to explore a new living situation and district. The project was organized by the Architekturzentrum Wien and Mies. Magazin – which has followed a few participants on their journey of discovering new housing scenarios. The final documentary shows the different views and thoughts of people living in different environments within the same city.

The Becoming of an Architect (AT, 2017)
What forces and ideas shape a young person before becoming an architect? How much and in what way do architects still let themselves influence nowadays? In interviews with Dominique Perrault, Wolf D. Prix, MVRDV, Lacaton & Vassal and many more, we wanted to know how their environment at the time of studies has shaped their perception of architecture.
